I CAME ACROSS A NEWS ITEM RECENTLY THAT THIRU M.K.STALIN HAS PLEDGED TO DONATE HIS EYES. MAY HE LIVE LONG AND LEAD A HAPPY AND HEALTHY LIFE. ALL HOSPITALS/NURSING HOMES SHOULD PUBLICISE THE FACT THAT DONATING ORGANS, ESPECIALLY EYES AFTER ONE'S LIFETIME IS A VERY NOBLE ACT AND ENCOURAGE THE FAMILIES OF THOSE DEPARTED, BY FACILITATING THIS WITHOUT ANY DELAY. OTHERWISE, IN THEIR INITIAL HOURS OF GRIEF THEY MIGHT FORGET THAT TIME IS ESSENTIAL IN HARVESTING THE EYES AND OTHER VITAL ORGANS BEFORE THEY BEGIN TO DECAY. A PAIR OF EYES DONATED COULD GIVE THE 'GIFT OF SIGHT' TO TWO PERSONS AND A PART OF THE DEPARTED WOULD 'CONTINUE LIVING BEYOND HIM/HER'. SUPERSTITION SHOULDN'T CLOUD ONE'S THINKING IN THIS REGARD.

Chathuragiri, also known as Sivanmalai near Srivilliputhur and Kollimalai near Salem are developing as Holy and Spiritual Resorts . Kollimalai has good roads right upto the hill top and is well developed. Chathuragiri does not have road access though the height is more about 1100 m, but there is heavy rush due to its popularity on par with” Kailash Manasarovar and Amarnath “. Arappaliswarar temple on top is one of the oldest temples . On ‘Pournami’ days, there are several hundreds of vehicles parked at the foot of the hill near the entrance. Chathuragiri maintains its ‘greeneries’, the air is refreshing and it is believed that there are a large number of herbal plants. The fruits and vegetables are very tasty and healthy. It is also believed that there are ‘Siddhars’ still living in the hill. There is a website www.chathuragiri.com which gives more information. The walk way which is too long with ups (steep) and downs and slippery is hazardous and it is difficult for older people to climb the hill. Local people charge about ten thousand Rupees to carry elders and invalid persons to the hill top, but they are fully booked on festival days. Myself and my wife, senior citizens tried but could not climb even half the distance as it was hazardous and too tiresome. It would be a good public service to the devotees and also a profitable proposition if Helicopter services are arranged for this holy and prestigious temple in Chathuragiri Hills from Madurai. The Tamilnadu Government should also fully utilize the spiritual and religious potential of the place by making it more easier for the devotees and others to reach the Hill top.

Hon'ble Deputy CM Sir, I am Mr. G. Radhakrishnan basically a male Nurse i have compleated BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing and finishing my PhD in nusing by this Dec 2009. I have the following few point for your kind perusal. 1. BSc Nursing programme was started in our state 3 decades before and private Nursing colleges were permitted from 1993 onwards with 50% govt quata seats. But till today they are not taken for any level govt job in our Govt Hospitals. Presently more than 35000 registered BSc nurses are available with various additional Higher Qualifications. These Nurses will be verymuch handy in our public health services at PHC level and first level Nurse in Hospital. The Quality of health care will improve because they are professional Nurses. So kindly look in to their job opportuniyies. In the state of kerala & Karnataka the BSc nuses are preferred and all the central govt hospitals preferes BSC Nurses. 2. Kindly upgrade all the General Nursing Midwifery (GNM)which are presently atteched with all medical colleges in to BSc Nusing colleges as recommended by Indian Nursing Council. So that there is more job created and we will be able to provide Quality Nusing Services. 3. Presently we have more than 130 nursing colleges out of which more than 30 colleges have MSc nursing programme. we fell it is the right time to have a seperate Nursing University in the name of The Tamilnadu Dr. Kalaigar Karunanithi University of Nursing Sciences. like the one we started earlier in the name of Dr MGR. This effort will make nursing independance, Immage of Nursing will improve, Quality Nursing Education is possible. Let us be poineer because kerala is is seriously thinking about it. 4. Finally we require a seperate Direstorate.Direstorate of Nursing. there will be One deputy for Nursing Services one Deputy for Nursing Education. this formate is recommende by Govt of tndia and Indian Nursing Council. We wish you bright future so that tamilnadu gets a CM like You with A strong Vision. Thanking you. G.Radhakrishnan 30/08/2009

Dear Sir, My mom is working as a part time lecturer in one of the govt aided colleges. The TN govt has announced pay hike for the college teachers. But has also stated that "The government would follow another recommendation of the Commission that there be three designations of teachers — assistant professors, associate professors and professors". Can you please help me or direct me in which category does the part time lecturer stands in... My mom is working from 1982.. She is very senior but gets only 100 Rs per hour which comes around 2400 Rs per month. Upto 1993 all part time lecturers got 1/3 of the regular staffs, but now the situation has changed. Part Time lecturers never got any hike during the past UGC regulations. Sir really we love your administration, and hope you'll do your best for these category of lecturers too. Sir you please help us to get the hike.. Sir we are helpless... You please direct us sir... Im eagerly waiting for your reply... -- Jaison Prabhu Doss. J 30/1 - Yesudian Street, Nagercoil - 629001. It ia a welcoming effort to introduce hand held billing instruments in all fair price shops in order to monitor the fake bills. I suggest that the same practice to be introduced for all auto rickshaw drivers who are charging the commuters exhorbitanly. These auto rickshaws fares to be fixed like bus stage fares. If a bus fare is Rs2 for particular stage, then the auto rickshaw charge should be Rs15 only.It means 7 to 8 times of bus fare for auto rickshaws. Dear Sir First of all I convey my warm regards to you for becoming Deputy CM of Tamilnadu. You are the right choice and you deserve it.. I have sent this mail to you with an expectation tat you will surely take some steps to develop sports in tamilnadu by appointing PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS IN MIDDLE AND PRIMARY SCHOOLS. Basically if we want to develop sports we should start training children’s from their earlier stage. But in our state only the children’s in towns and cities getting that opportunity cause they are studying in private schools. Private schools have P.E.T teachers from 1st standard. Can you show a single Government middle and primary school in rural area which have a Physical Education Teacher? In fact the children’s from rural areas have good stamina, body, and potential for sports than urban children’s. The children’s from rural areas first step into ground only at their 9th std, cause no p.e.t teachers in Govt primary schools and middle schools. Even in High schools the ratio for p.e.t and children is 1:750 even it’s worse in many schools. My only concern is if we want to develop sports in our country physical education should be given to the children’s from primary schools. Only poor people sending their children’s to Govt schools, it’s a great sin tat we deny the opportunity of that children’s from becoming an Olympian. In china they start giving practice to Olympics probable from the age of 5. But we? In the pallikalvi maaniya korikai there was no sign of good news to sports and physical education. Hope you will take steps for the appointment of PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS IN MIDDLE AND PRIMARY SCHOOLS. If you do something for sports in this cause then in the future you will be called as the “Father of Sports” in Tamilnadu. Thanking you.. As far as public transport is concerned Tamil Nadu is perhaps the best in India. To make it more comfortable it would be better if all buses are air conditioned like in other countries if not in all places it is must places like Chennai where the heat and humidity makes life very difficult in a bus travel.I know it is difficult to implement but I think you will come up with a better idea to weed out this problem

Respected Sir, Sub:-Bus connecting Adambakkam/West Velachery and Vijay Nagar/Velachery RS-requested. It is good that two tar roads are already laid on the stretch connecting Velachery MRTS and upcomming Puzhudhivakkam MRTS . Only about 200 metre of tar surface is unfinished at Puzhudhivakkam side. These roads are connecting with Balaji Nagar Main Road leading to Adambakkam/West Velachery and other suburbs and more number of vehicles are already using these roads to reach Vijay Nagar. Already, these have become busy roads. Hence, it would be of great help for more than one lakh residents of Adambakkam and West Velachery if MTC too operate buses connecting Adambakkam/West Velachery (via Brindavan Main Road/Balaji Main Road) and Vijay Nagar using these roads. This may even help Velachery MRTS station to get more rail passangers from West Velachery side as bus facility to reach Velachery RS and Vijay Nagar is unavailable at presnt. Further, this part is very much lack in bus facilities to reach other parts of Chennai city and has to depend upon mainly on M9M bus and autos. Hence, as stated above, if busses are run to connect Vijay Nagar, it would be of great help to reach other parts of city. Thanking you, Sir, Yours sincerely, R.Ganesan, (A senior citizen), Plot.12, Mohanapuri 1st street, West Velachery, Chennai-600088.

Dear sir, I'm Brinda. I would like to suggest or discuss with you regarding our traditional arts. I really dont know how difficult is it to implement these but i want to share with you these ideas for a long time. Sir, can you impose compulsary traditional art education for all students, like every student has to learn one dance form and one martial art form from our traditional arts like, karagattam, mayilataam, oyilattam, thapattam, devarattam, silambam, kalari, maankombu sandai, vaal sandai etc n etc. N we have to plz eliminate bharathanatiyam from this list coz if it is included then no other dance form will be selected.Because other then bharathanattiyam, the other traditional dance forms are vanishing from our tradition in a fast phase. And being Kalainger thatha's son, u have due responsibility in saving these. Making it compulsary will help to 1) Save our traditional art forms. 2) Employ the traditional artists in schools n colleges. 3) Make our children more active. 4) Our children will learn our tradition n culture. Sir, except us, most of the countries, almost all, value their tradition n save their art n musical forms n now even spreading their arts to the whole world n make money too with it. Like, we learn Karate, Tai chi, Kung Fu, Ballet, Flemingo, Disco, etc. And now our children learn these arts n have forgotten their responsibilty to treasure our culture. Please, please Do this sir, You'll be thanked n blessed by millions n millions of such artists. with lots of hope in you. thank you Brinda

I really admire the work of Mr. M.K.Stalin. Plan for "Singara Chennai" is more appreciated. I have a suggestion for "Singara Chennai." There are too many lakes in and around chennai which can be privatised to manage the entire area as well the same can be used as a entertainment zone. It not only serves the purpose also if it is well maintained water level of the surrounding area will definitely increase.

Respected sir, It's very happy to hear that govt has decided to implement EQUITABLLE EDUCATION. Its a very courageous step to modernize our education system. To the effective implement of this system successfully we need young talented teachers. If the govt appoints teachers through seniority method , then the implication of the new method wont give expected result. And also state wide seniority method affectes thousands of thousands young b.ed holders.Seniority method only helps to the southern tamilnadu b.ed holders sir , not for northern and northwest b.ed holders. As you are started your political career from youth wing of dmk , we hope you will understand the problems of youths. Please kindly give your attention towards the appointmets of teachers through examinations. Youngsters of this generation will be gracefull to you sir.
