This is Emayavarman aged 30 a professional social worker, working in International Youth Development Organisation,I am the grand son of Late MISA K.Balakrishnan(mothers father),ex chairman of Kundrathur Union, from my fathers marriage to my marriage was all self respect marriage headed by Perasiriyar, our entire family and relatives are called DMK family. MY concerns are,Though DMK is winning elections, the vote bank is fading, the vote bank I refer is people who are ready to vote, fight and ready to loose anything for the sake of DMK without any expectation, this is because of the business minded people having no passion for DMK but ready to join hands even with the opposition party cadres for their personal gains are coming into party positions, the hard core DMK families like us have started keeping away from politics, but still voting, praying for DMk's success. As a development professional and a person who has been fed with DMK thoughts from my Babyhood like to suggest that an Monitoring and Evaluation to be done of the Party Leaders activities and their capacity in building the "vote Bank",also existing vote bank has to be strengthened and steps to be formulated to bring the younger generation of the traditional DMK families into active politics. I have plans for it,if given an oppurtunity I would like to formulate steps and present a concept note on the existing scenario and way to improve it.

Honourable Sir. I S.P.Elango from salem district brought forward new policy adopted by present Arangavalar team headed by Mr.Er.Mariappan in the Alagirinathar Temple (kottai-Perumal koil ) to your kind attention. There is no space available for parking for two wheelers around the temple. But people came to temple for worship parked their vehicle adjacent roads without inconveinence to passerby.Present executive team imposed parkink fee for two wheelers parking in the road.Already every vehicle have paid life tax to the government for usage of road.Previous government wont impose such a fee for worshippers. I request you please abolish the existing parking fees structure adopted by executive admin. If it is done ,greateful relief to 3 time worshippers per day. Thanking you sir, Yours sincerely. Respected Sir, I would like to bring to your notice that at Koyambedu private bus stand the Bus tickets selling is unregulated. Travels arrange spare buses[say that as special service] and collect 600Rs for Chennai to Madurai Travel. This is for a non-A/C bus. Please help us to regulate this or provide more Government Air bus services. People are cheated daily and their lives are risked.

Kindly send more yellow board buses as usual now-a-days only deluxe buses are plying across cities which is costly. 80% of total chennai population depend only on MTC, hence not chanse of loss so kindly send more yellow board buses Also, kindly send school children and ladies buses in all the routes. This will be very usefull.

Chennai is losing its importance as a prominent southern city, this charm has been stolen by Bangalore and Hyderabad. There are several reasons to it: 1.Chennai lacks cosmopolitan approach. Hating English or HIndi is not going to provide us bread & butter, instead we Chennaities will turn to be frog in the pond. I also like to enlighten you our own tamilians from other places like madurai, CBE & trichy do not like Chennai and want to go to Bangalore for jobs. It is astonishing fact. 2. All the more we do not have proper infrastructure like Bangalore, from roads, trains to airport everything sucks. Why can't be turn all suburban trains to trains like metro trains, all our MRTS stations stinks, airport oh god - India's worst airport next to kolkatta. 3. Now labour unrest have also become predominent, unless and until state government put iron arm on these labour unions they will spoil your efforts of bringing investments to TN and might make TN rot. Please do something on this sir. All the more now green feild aiport is also scrapped...so Chennai will not be the southern hub now fro airlines..they will prefer only the best aiports like bangalore and Hyderabad. Which has already happened. I fear even Cochin and Trivandrum will take a good lead... Raji

No to Greenfield Airport for Chennai announced by center and published in Dinamalar has really annoyed people, what are our ministers in Center doing without giving a push to the project. When Mumbai can get an aiport within 35 Kms and why not Chennai in 30 Kms. Waiting to see a world class airport for so long this decision has disappointed many of NRI - tamilians living outside india and also people like us living in TN. Can TN govt invite tenders on its own and build a airport. A fantastic airport is always necessary for a metro city and its growth. When Delhi can have a railway station for 9000 crores why that Chennai cannot have a new airport at half of its cost...ridiculous. Please do something on it sir. Even Haryana is getting one...when you want a world class financial city, aerospace etc Airport is also a necessity. Pm/1000/29.11.09 Honorable DY.CM, of TAMILNADU I always vote DMK and my father G.Peria samy [late] was very straight forward DMK follower in TRICHY served as Trustee Head in UTHAMER KOVIL at BIKSHANDAR KOVIL. I always take you as inspiring personality. My kind suggestion in RIVER SAND DISTRIBUTION Sir, we can have system of distribution for RIVER SAND to the consumers thro 50KG BAG as cements, this will lead to transparent and beneficial to the real user under controlled price also convenient to carry along with construction materials to the site. PACKING Industries could be installed in the river bed near to the spot where sand is excavated. This proposal would be large success as our Govt. Proved in TASMAC.asl meeting direct consumers. Since huge number of Agencies required distributing RIVER SAND it creates lot of JOB opportunity in TAMILNADU among Youth as well. Thanking you Yours faithfully, P.MURUGANADAM-93852 55666

PLANT MORE TREES IN TN. During my visit to Tamilnadu(Trichy, Thanjavur and Kumbakonam) last summer, I noticed that there was very little greenery around. The sun was blazing away mercilessly and with extensive power cuts the people were sweating it out while cursing the Government. Ironically, there were hardly any solar power panels visible on any rooftop but more DTH dish antennae. TN should go in for solar power in a big way as it enjoys ten months of bright sunshine annually, (except for two months during North East monsoons in Nov/Dec). Saplings like Neem(Margosa)which develop large shady canopies should be planted all along roads, bus stands and people should also be encouraged to plant these within their premises. There is no threat to these saplings from cattle, which don't relish their bitter leaves. I found that open areas within the compounds in large apartment complexes were fully cemented for car parking, with hardly any space left for trees, except an odd coconut tree. How would rain water percolate into the ground to recharge the ground water table? Please make it compulsory for apartments/commercial complexes to set aside atleast 22 percent of their plot area for tree-planting. Rain water harvesting should also be made mandatory for them.

COMPUTERISED CITIZEN SERVICE CENTRES. REPLICATE THE ‘BANGALORE ONE’ MODEL CITIZEN SERVICE CENTRES IN CHENNAI AND OTHER BIG TOWNS OF TAMILNADU. IT WOULD SAVE A LOT MANY MAN-HOURS OF THE PEOPLE JUST WANTING TO PAY THEIR UTILITY BILLS, INCURRING NO EXTRA COST TO THEM. ALL MONTHLY UTILITY BILLS COULD BE PAID DURING A SINGLE VISIT AT ANY CONVENIENT TIME OF THE DAY AND RECEIPTS COLLECTED ON THE SPOT. MODELLED ON THE COMPUTERISED RAILWAY RESERVATION CENTRES, THESE CENTRES ACCEPT ELECTRICITY/WATER/TELEPHONE/MOBILE BILLS, ACCEPT PROPERTY TAXES, ISSUE BIRTH/DEATH CERTIFICATES, ISSUE LEARNER'S DL, ACCEPT FRESH PASSPORT APPLICATIONS, SELL EVEN CITY BUS PASSES/LONG DISTANCE BUS TICKETS, ACCEPT TRAFFIC POLICE CHALLAN PAYMENTS AND PERFORM A HOST OF OTHER FUNCTIONS UNDER ONE ROOF. THEY WORK 24/7 AND ACCEPT CASH/CHEQUES FOR PAYMENT OF BILLS (BUT ACCEPT CHEQUES ONLY, BETWEEN 8PM AND 8AM FOR SECURITY REASONS), WHEN ONLY ONE OF THE DOZEN COUNTERS IS MANNED. THERE ARE FIFTEEN SUCH CENTRES ALL OVER BANGALORE. THIS NOVEL CONCEPT MAY BE INTRODUCED IN CHENNAI AND OTHER TOWNS OF TAMILNADU ALSO AT THE EARLIEST. THIS WAY THE PUBLIC NEEDN'T COME INTO DIRECT CONTACT AND BE EXPOSED TO SOME CORRUPT ELEMENTS WORKING IN THESE PUBLIC UTILITIES. THIS WOULD BE A BIG BOON TO THE PEOPLE OF TAMILNADU IF INTRODUCED SPEEDILY BY THE Dy.C.M. A TAMILNADU GOVT.TEAM MAY BE SENT TO BANGALORE TO STUDY THE WORKING OF THIS SYSTEM. SIMILAR 'BEST PRACTICES' MAY BE ADOPTED FROM OTHER NEIGHBOURING STATES FOR IMPLEMENTATION IN TAMILNADU AND VICE-VERSA.

STPs IN HOSUR/KOVAI Compared to neighbouring Karnataka, where even smaller towns like Hubli (with hardly any infrastructure) have succeeded in wooing the Software Majors to set up shop, Tamilnadu hasn’t vigorously pursued the matter in the past, due to the 'ego problems' of certain political leaders, who only kept blaming each other. Most of the software companies have at best set up shop around 'sultry Chennai', causing further congestion there. Places like Hosur and Kovai(Coimbatore) should have been the natural choice for this purpose (with many technological training institutions situated at Kovai) and with the weather also not being as hot as Chennai. With Chennai almost reaching saturation point, HOSUR, the industrial town, which is close to Bangalore could be developed as a counter-magnet to Bangalore, (which has also reached saturation point, with its infrastructure falling apart). HOSUR enjoys the advantage of having more or less the same weather as Bangalore, due to its close proximity and has good four-lane highway connectivity to Bangalore, Chennai and Coimbatore. Prominent real estate developers could be given tax incentives and encouraged to build STPs at HOSUR. Supporting facilities like good Schools/ Hospitals/ Hotels/Shopping Malls/Multiplexes/housing complexes could follow. What were Gurgaon (Haryana) and NOIDA(UP) near Delhi, a few years back? Till such supporting facilities are developed at HOSUR itself, people could make use of such facilities existing at Bangalore, just 40 kms. away. The double-deck highway between Bangalore and HOSUR is also being readied. The Airstrip at Thali (near Hosur) could also be simultaneously expanded. 'RAJAJI CYBER CITY'(Hosur) would be an ideal memorial for the Great Son of India & Tamilnadu, RAJAJI, whose birthplace is at Thorapalli, near Hosur. (After all, he along with late C.N. Annadurai was instrumental in bringing the DMK to power for the first time in TN, in 1967). Even Tiruchi, Madurai and Salem with an educated work force and superior infrastructure, fare better than other tier-two towns in Karnataka like Hubli, Belgaum and Vijayawada, Rajamundry in A.P. The concerned IT authorities in TN (State and Central Ministers for IT) should vigorously lobby with the Top Software Companies and BPOs for setting up Software Development Centres/training centres in these towns, for the overall development of TN. Major builders could also be encouraged with incentives for Infrastructure development like constructing STPs/Malls/Hospitals/Colleges & housing complexes/clusters in these towns. Tamilians should acquire English language skills to get employment in this industry.

AEROSPACE PARK AT HOSUR. Thiru M.K.STALIN HAS RECENTLY STATED THAT AN AEROSPACE PARK, INCLUDING AN MRO FACILITY (FOR MODIFICATIONS, REPAIR AND OVERHAUL OF CIVIL AIRCRAFT) WOULD BE SET UP IN TAMILNADU IN THE NEAR FUTURE.(THE NEWS ITEM ALSO SPEAKS ABOUT A FINANCIAL CITY BEING SET UP NEAR CHENNAI). IT IS FELT THAT FAR TOO MANY INDUSTRIES ARE BEING CONCENTRATED AROUND CHENNAI ONLY, WHILE OTHER SECONDARY CITIES ARE BEING IGNORED BY THE GOVERNMENT FOR REASONS BEST KNOWN TO IT. THE SAME HAPPENED TO MUMBAI IN THE FIFTIES/SIXTIES AND MANY PEOPLE FROM OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY MIGRATED THERE SEEKING JOBS, PUTTING A HEAVY STRAIN ON THE CIVIC INFRASTRUCTURE. THIS MISTAKE SHOULDN'T BE REPEATED AT CHENNAI, WHICH IS AS IT IS REELING UNDER SEVERE WATER/POWER SHORTAGE. COIMBATORE(KOVAI), TIRUCHI, TUTICORIN, MADURAI, SALEM, VELLORE AND HOSUR COULD ALSO BE DEVELOPED SIDE BY SIDE. 1)AT HOSUR, WHICH ENJOYS THE SAME SALUBRIOUS CLIMATE AS THAT OF BANGALORE, NEW SOFTWARE TECHOLOGY PARKS/COMPUTER HARDWARE/ELECTRONICS INDUSTRIES, MRO FACILITIES FOR CIVIL AIRCRAFT, INCLUDING AN AIRPORT MAY BE ESTABLISHED. IT IS ALSO LESS-POLLUTED COMPARED TO CHENNAI. 2) AT KOVAI: TEXTILES/HOSIERY, FOUNDRIES AND INDUSTRIES MANUFACTURING LIGHT ELECTRICAL MACHINERY/WHITE GOODS MAY BE ENCOURAGED. 3) AT TIRUCHI: HEAVY INDUSTRIES LIKE POWER PLANT MACHINERY, BOILERS ETC. MAY BE ENCOURAGED. 4) MADURAI-KODAIKANAL COULD BE CONSIDERED AS A TOURISM CIRCUIT.(TEMPLES AND HILL STATION) 5) SALEM COULD ALSO BE CONSIDERED FOR LIGHT INDUSTRIES IN THE HANDLOOM TEXTILES SECTOR AND FOR INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING. 6) VELLORE COULD BE CONSIDERED FOR LEATHER-PROCESSING INDUSTRIES. 7) AT TUTICORIN: PETRO-CHEMICAL COMPLEX/INDUSTRIES COULD BE EARMARKED. 8) AT CHENNAI: AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRIES COULD BE RESERVED FOR CHENNAI AS IT ALSO OFFERS PORT FACILITIES FOR EXPORT OF CARS. 9) OOTY/YERCAUD: THE TWO OTHER HILL STATIONS AT UDHAGAMANDALAM(OOTY) AND YERCAUD MAY BE CONSERVED AND SAVED FROM OVER- EXPLOITATION AND OVER- CONSTRUCTION, RESULTING IN FURTHER DESTRUCTION OF ITS GREENERY.

Respected Sir, I am happy to learn our Hon'ble Chief Minister wrote a letter to the Hon'ble Union Railway Minister Selvi Mamta Banerjee requesting to allocate required funds for on going gauge conversion projects of various sections including myladuthurai - tiruvarur - karaikudi section, new line projects, train services introduction etc etc. Sir, after completion of main line work as BG line, SR likely to introduce only one overnight express between chennai egmore and nagore via myladuthurai, kumbakonam, thanjavur and thiruvarur and one day express between chennai egmore and trichy via myladuthurai, kumbakonam, thanjavur. This may be due to coach shortages prevailing in southern railway. These two trains will not be sufficient for nagai, tiruvarur, thanjavur and cuddalore dists. Atleast further one day time expres and two overnightr express are needed. Moreover, nagore express will not be operated directly via myladuthurai, tiruvarur till completion of gauge conversion between myladuthurai and tiruvarur 39 kms since the work is going on very slowly. Therefore, it will be operated via myladuthurai, kumbakonam, thanjavur. 89 kms [125 - 39]ctual journey of 39 kms. Hence, special follow up action is requested. Always southern railway is informing the public they are facing rake shortages. When the rake shortages will be fulfilled no body knows. Our MPs should requested the Railway Minister to allocate required coaches for southenr railway to operate more trains in tamil nadu. Your follow up action in this regard is highly appreciated for tamil nadu state infrastructure development particularly railway development. Thanking you, Yours faithfully, S. With your leadership ,I am sure it is possible to achieve. We have all the required expertise. Many big Singapore projects were executed by engineers and workers from our place. Please put up a trusted team with a clear target and back up. Because of this, pulbic comming from TIDEL singnal or going from ASCENDAS route are completly blocked, which causes major traffic. If the signal is made automatic the Traffic can be reduced.

Why should Education Department not undertaking postings through TRB examination. The young generation will be waiting for the exam only. As per seniority today youngsters get job only after 10 year only. So, please kindly consider the young generation life. Why not government filled the postings with seniority and exam as equal (50:50)mixture. Please to be consider this 6500 postings as required with Exam wise. Respected Sir, I already posted a complaint about the rain waters in our area.It has been a week or two since the rains stopped. But still we suffer due to water stagnation.Sun is scorching in the city now a days. But the Rain waters have not yet been drained here.No action have been taken by the local authorities so far.Its being a great trouble to reach the main roads.Since the roads are in a very bad condition its not at all safe even to walk in those waters.School children and age old people suffer a lot to walk here.Since the waters stand still for a long time, it is highly polluted and smells very bad.And mosquitoes and snakes have increased due to this.We are unable to come out of our houses and are totally stranded. I kindly request u to take immediate actions to drain the water and make arrangements to lay the roads and arrange for a good drainage system in our area, well before the next rains. Please consider our complaint and take timely steps Sir.We would be so grateful if we get a remedy for this major problem. our address: 1st main road,Veeramani nagar, Nanmangalam, Medavakkam main road, Chennai 600117.

Honorable Deputy Chief Minister Sir, I would like to bring to your kind attention, regarding Hindu religious travel to Kailash Mansarovar Yatra which located in the territory of CHINA. This is the ultimate spiritual pilgrimage that could be done by any Hindu in India and the world. Nearly 26 days to be spent to complete this tour from New Delhi. The very difficult task and fact involved in this tour is everyone has to travel in kilometers by trekking, this includes life risk also and the government of India takes all undertakings before starting the tour regarding life risks involved in this pilgrimage tour. To carry out this pilgrimage, first the person should be medically fit and that medical check-up also done by the central government at New Delhi. The next fact is that only limited number of persons only allowed every year (Last year 916 persons were allowed throughout the country) selected by computer draw. The financial aspect involved in this is very huge that is i. Rs 20000/- to be deposited to Government of India, ii. Rs 2500/- for medical examination iii. US $ 700 to be paid to Chinese government iv. Rs 25000/- Includes expenditure like trekking kits, protective cloths, expenditure during tour. All together the expenditure could be Rs 1,00,000/- minimum. This pilgrimage cannot be compared with any other pilgrimage because of the life risk involved in performing this pilgrimage. I also assure you sir that nobody will perform this pilgrimage just for the financial assistance are available from government alone because to perform this healthy physical and mental condition and determination to perform this tour is a prime requirement. My humble request to you is that kindly extend your patronage in the form of financial help from government of Tamil Nadu so that those who really interested to take risk and perform this pilgrimage could perform the once in a lifetime YATRA. Thanking you CHELLAPANDIAN

There would be place in History for your effort to clean Coovam River and every efforts you have taken is so impressive. It shows that a best place to live in the world is Chennai. My sincere thanks for your every efforts. More particularly to de-congest traffic bottlenecks. My humble submission for the proposed plan is to regulate parking space in each & every Road. There should be restriction in parking the vehicles at Bus Route, which will give treamndus result for your valuable efforts. Assumed that in the proposed plan to de-congest the traffic, the parking was not the subject matter from the concerned officials. Please take my suggesstion to get quick remedy. In Bangalore, Parking is most diciplinary thing. I hope that same effort would be taken here. My best wishes for more healthy efforts.

I live in USA. I am not sure if you are following up this people's forum, but it is really an impressive effort and congratulations to you and your team. I have a suggestion for Chennai city. With the current growth and population size, please plan for 100 years ahead like USA and China. Most of the institutions / universities are located within city limit, it would be better if you take effort to move outside of city limit, and make those areas as Park for cleaner air/atmosphere in the city. This will help us to elevate cleaner greener city.

Regarding transport facilities, our government have been providing an international level of servieces for locals, comparing with other states. But in SETC(State Express Transport Corporation) and TNSTC(Tamilnadu State Transport Corporation) both have to be improve little better in facilities and even attracting passengers like private bus services. And my humble request is providing online reservation for those Govt. trasport services. Its one of the way to get this next level. I'm most impressed in our neighbore state of Karnataka's transport services. I felt envy with their service, while i was traveling to B'lore. I hope that you'll consider my request and do possitive.

Tamilnadu Government is doing an excellent job in inviting investments. But to sustain it even more actions are required. Labour and Talented workforce attracts investments to Chennai. But there are many labour unrest happening in the recent past like Nokia labours unrest to Hyundai workers planning for strike. This potrays a bad image. If the labour unrest sustains it would be difficult for attracting Investments. So it's high time that the State Government jump into action to sort out Labour unrest. Persistant interference should not be made by the Government which will not be liked by Private sector. Necessary amendments should be made to the appropriate law. This should wipe out future problems and solve the current unrest amicably. Thanks in advance.
