Government

Respected Sir, Earlier the rail route between trichy and nagapattinam via tiruvarur was Broad guage line between during the year 1862 and 1875 [13 years]. It was converted as meter gauge line during 1875 since all other rail routes were MG line. Now, the gauge conversion between tiruvarur and Nagore via nagapattinam 31 kms going on and expected to open during the month of November, 2008. After completion of tiruvarur and nagore 31 kms, the entire section of trichy to nagore 136 kms will be completed. Sir, at present only few passenger trains are operating between tiruvarur and thanajvur after gauge conversion completed between thanjavur and tiruvarur 55 kms opened by our Hon"ble CM on 12-01-2007. Not even a single overnight express is avalable from tiruvarur to chennai, coimbatore and nagercoil. All are entirely depending upon bus journey only. Ladies, aged people and children are worst sufferers due to non avialablility of overnight express trains from tiruvarur. Nagapattinam and tiruvarur districts people are living large scale at chennai, coimbatore and tirunelveli but there is no direct overnight express train at present. Sir, already one express train announced two years back between chennai egmore and nagore via myladuthurai jn, kumbakonam, thanjavur and tiruvarur jn. But due to gauge conversion between villupuram and myladuthurai jn 122kms not yet completed the train is not introduced. Moreover, this is a longest route for tiruvarur and nagapattinam because myladuthurai to tiruvarur jn 39 kms is still remaining as meter gauge line and gauge conversion work not yet started even some funds allocated during the year 2008-09 budget [railway budget during feb, 2008]. For 39 kms between tiruvarur and myladuthurai jn they have to travel via thanjavur, kumbakonam. This is around 125 kms. Excess distance is 86 kms for 39 kms travel. Moreover, this work will expected to start atleast Feb/March 2009 means it will take further 2 years. Hence, direct train between nagore and chennai via tiruvarur, thanjavur is urgently needed. At present these district people are mostly undertaking journey by road only in the absence of BG line between myladuthurai to tiruvarur jn 39 kms and myladuthurai to villupuram BG line 122 kms [going on for the past two years]. Therefore, I request you to please introduce the following long journey overnight express trains from nagore via tiruvarur and thanjavur so that cauvery delta people will be directly connected with chennai, coimbatore and nagercoil. Almost all people are wants to travel during nite hours to avoid entire day time. This will not only help cauvery delta people but also to the tourists visiting large scale to nagapattinam, nagore, velankanni, tiruvarur, alankudi and thirunallar / tirukadaiyur. At present not even ainlge overngite express is available either from nagai, nagore, tiruvarur and thanjavur. Hence this request. This will help the suffering people of nagai and tiruvarur districts. 1. The already announced express train between nagore and chennai may please be introduced via tiruvarur jn, thanjavur jn , tiruchi jn and villupuram jn till completion of tiruvarur to myladuthurai jn gauge conversion and main line work. There is no much difference distance via thanjavur, trichy, vridhachlam [chord line] and via thanjavur, kumbakonam, myladuthurai. This is required till myladuthurai to tiruvarur gauge conversion completed [39 kms]. If not introduced now till such time all should undertake journey by road. This is difficult to aged persons, women and children for traveling long journey by road. 2. Overnight express between nagore and coimbatore via tiruvarur, thanjavur jn, tiruchi jn, karur jn, erode and tirupur [only day time jan sathapthi is running between myladuthuai and coimbatore and no other alternative train during night hours]. Nagai and tiruvarur district people are living large scale at tirupur and kovai. Hence, this demand. 3. Overnight express between nagai and nagercoil via tiruvaurr, thanjavur, trichy jn, dindigul, madurai, virudhunagar jn and tirunelveli. This train can be extended upto velankanni after new line opened between nagai and velankkani. Sir, these trains can be possible only if you take up this issue through our Dr Kalaignar Hon'ble CM to Hon'ble Local Admn Minister take up this issue with Shri Laluji, Hon'ble Railway Minister or otherwise they will extend only 3 or 4 pass trains upto nagore from trichy. I am expecting your favourable reply and am expecting some fruitful results before inagural cermony of BG line between nagore and tiruvarur which is last stretch of tiruchi to nagore section. Thanking you and aniticpating your reply, Sir, Yours faithfully, S. Mohan [Nagai Mohan]

Dear sir, I am a DMK cadre, who works in the IT field.I am really concerned about whether the recent power crises would have any impact on our party in the upcoming elections. Our Government's flagship programmes like Loan waiver for farmers,1kg rice for 1 rupee under PDS,etc have been overshadowed by the power crises. So we have to explain the ordinary people the reasons(failure of previos Government to adopt a good policy etc)which caused the power crises and our plans to overcome that.Though we have reasons and plans but it hasn't reached ordinary man. Then it is our prime duty to reach the people and show them what we have done for them. The Present Government has done lots of welfare projects to the people. So this is the time to remind them that projects as they have forgotten that over the Power crises. Then Take care of the timings of the Power cut.Because in our places powercuts used to be from 11am to 2pm.Women usually watch tele serial dramas in that timings.Obviously they would be disappointed with that because for them it is very important to watch drama.Since we can't avoid power cuts, have it in non-serial timings. For some extent it would please them.It looks silly. But it will have huge impact.I hope You will take of everything. regards, R.Jaya Prakash(a true cadre who wants party's rule (Kazhaga Aatchi) again).

Dear Hon.Minister, Inam Karur (near by karur town) town is located between cauvery and amaravathy rivers(less than 10kms), but water scarcity increases everyday. We are getting water supply in the basis of fornightly. Most of the families are middle class and lower middle class. Each of family buys two tanks(4000lt) minimum every month, its a must.It is basically due to population and shortage of pipeline/storage capacity. Please you could get into this issue and make some project but project may be should consider the future projected population. It will have a significance impact in the vote bank.Thanking you.

Dear Sir, I've been a staunch supporter of your party(I cannot say our party-'coz I am a Govt Servant) from my college days. Recently during your visit to Tiruvannamalai, I stood with my little kids at the Bye-pass road junction to cheer u (during your trip to declare open the Police Station at Vengikkal). AS we waved frantically at you we were much disappointed to see you deeply engrossed in some newspaper or file. My children were more disappointed. May I suggest u to please....please avoid all reading, or cell phone talk during your trips inside towns & crowded places . A simple wave of your hand and a cheerful smile will go a long way in establishing u in the hearts of millions of Tamil folks.

Dear Sir, All know that, we are facing shortage of electricity and I believe, the demand will be more in next year. I know that TN Govt. has taken necessary step to address the issue in future. To address the electricity problem in summer season, we should look for non-conventional energy sources like Solar Energy. Chennai is one city which is having a long summer time (Mar ~ Sep) with high temperature ranging from 30 to 42 degrees. We can make use of solar energy during that time which will address most of the people need. We can install solar power plant on each houses and we can generate electricity to address some basic needs. By using it, we can manage atleast 50~70% of basic home needs from Solar power plant itself. Solar power plant is a one time investment with less maintains and it will be a long term solution. It will also reduce the electricity bill for houses. Like “Rain water harvesting” project, I believe this will be highly beneficial project to both people and Govt. We should have campaign asking people to implement solar power plant. I believe, with Govt. providing subsidiary on solar power plant, it is feasible to install solar power plant on all middle/upper class families span across all major cities & town in Tamil Nadu. Govt. should encourage people to have the plant and create awareness. I request you to kindly go thru the Pros & Cons in this plan and take necessary action at the earliest. Regards Prabhu R S

respected sir, people must know about global warming, because today we have everything in fingertips, but in future our children may not get everything, so, people should know about global warming. you have government in your hand. so,you can do atleast 1. to advertise about global warming in bus ticket, train ticket, bus banner, train banner, flight ticket, even movie ticket also. just one slogan is enough to change some people like "DONT WASTE WATER - SAVE WATER - FOR YOUR CHILD" & "GROW TREE - FOR YOUR CHILD". This is simple steps. and you can do, when people waiting for signal, there electronic board will show this msg. so, please sir, save our tamilnadu, our children, to get every thing in future. please take necessary steps sir, it will be very kindful for everyone. MY SUGGESTION IS THE TRAFFIC PROBLEM IS ALSO INVOLVED IN PUBLIC NOT FOLLOWING THE LOCAL RULES AND I FEEL IF YOU CAN IMPOSE A NEW RULE THAT ALL THE VEHICLES SHOULD BE REGISTRATION TO BE RENEIWED EVERY 5 YEARS AND DURING DRIVING IF THEY ARE VOILATING THE LAW TRAFFIC POLICE CAN IMPOSE TRAFFIC FINE DAY TO DAY AND DURING RENEWAL IF THEY PAY ALL THE FINES THEY CAN GET RENEWED. IN THE ABOVE TRAFFIC POLICES SHOULD GENUINE AND ANTICORRUPTED. I AM NRI FROM DUBAI, I WOULD LIKE YOU TO TRY SAME RULES AS DUBAI. MY PRESENT LOCAL NUMBER IS 9486066860

Sir, Iam the Vice- President Of AGS Colony Welfare Association,Velachery. Let me thank you on the first count that after 2006 you were a driving force in implementing a network of storm water drainage canals in our colony. In the recent rain it is observed a reverse flow of water from veerangal odai and inundating the 4th cross street and 4th mainroad and the entire area and roads south of 4th main road of AGS colony. WE feel due to the alingment of the canal from kalkinagar leading towards south runs to a depth of more than 8 feet and join in the temporary veerangal odai canal dredged in the north of newly forming 100 feet inner ring road. we request that while laying permanent veerangal odai canal the above mentioned defect may kindly be rectified

Honourable Sir, Yesterday (24.10.08) , we suffered lot in Chennai due to Traffic problem. From Koyambedu to Tambaram , Bus took 4 Hrs travle time . It was due to heavy rain & Human Chain. We enquired that the same thing happended during DMDK Youth wing conference also. In democratic country , we can't avoid this rallies & conference. But , Police can manage the traffic effectively to avoid this chaos. A simple solution for this problem , Police must focus on clearing the way for vehicles going out side city in all the major roads (Tiruchi , Bangalore , ECR & North). During that time ( 30 min/ 1 Hr), If required , they have to stop the vehicle entering the city for time being. That action will help to reduce the vehicle density in city roads. Then , they (Police) can allow the vehicles entering the city in batch wise for smooth flow. It will affect the 50% of the travellers ( Entering City) for time being , but will solve the Traffic problem with in 1 or 2 hrs. Police have to use this method as a crisis management during the critical periods. Expecting Good Governance from you always.

Government

Respected Thalapathi, I would like to place the following for your kind notice and suitable action. Basically the initiatives of our government are good but the action and welfare measure fail to reach the intended beneficiaries, I would like to quote from couple of personal experiences, 1. Public distribution System: Our respectable Chief Minister announced that all kinds of dhall and other condiments will be made available at reasonable prices which is far below than the market conditions, but it was given only for a certain period, but the present situation is bad, because most of the time the personnel manning the PDS has been repeatedly informing the public that the stocks are yet to reach them. My experience is from Anna Nagar in Chennai the shop is near 5th avenue and more towards CSI Jessie Moses school, In this regard I would like to suggest that we have nearly 385 block secretaries ( ondriya seyalargal)in our party and several other party functionaries, these people have under them several functionaries, these functionaries can monitor the shops and if any shortfall is noticed they can bring it to the concerned minister knowledge thro the district secretary, but to our utter dismay nothing of this sort is happening. Further the PDS fair price shop union is under LPF control they can also form a committee and they can instruct the PDS staff to ensure proper distribution and by his proper behavior, the PDS staff can be an excellent PR for our government and our party. Further we boast that we have the best software brains in the world, but we are not able to distribute ration cards to the required people. One of my friend by name Dr. Jeyavelu, he is our sympathiser also, he has been trying to get a ration card for his family, but for the ione year he has been visiting the Asst Commisioner office at Arumbakkam and he says the response there is very poor and at times they are not able to manage the crowds, the reason being stated is that the computer verification and printing is causing the delay. The Dr needs the card only for the purpose of showing it as a proof for various purposes and not for buying the essential commodities. When he himself is voluntarily surrendring his right to buy the essential commodities, then the concerned official can put a seal on the face of the ration card, that it is issued only for the purpose of proof of residence. Thus the problems which can be solved are being dragged unnecessarily and ultimately it affects the performance of the government. I request you to consider the suggestion and even we are willing to give our time and effort to bring in orderliness in the distribution of essential commodities. With best regards, seran

dear minister i would like to give some suggestions about traffic in chennai. as the city grows with industry the traffic too increases.to ease the traffic one should network the transpotation system.i'm aware that the government under c.m m.karananidhi is up to it by introducing new buses but most of them in the city are now converted in to luxury or express buses.but majority of the city population has already started vacating city due to increased housing rent and bus fares especially express and deluxe buses.they prefer to come by train which is the cheapest for the middle class.so if you can suggest honorable minister k.n.nehru to adopt a percentage system for buses so that the minimum charged buses such as lss or m series are frequently available and ease the burden for the public.most of the buses are express or deluxe buses so that they are not in a position to use even a bus pass.hope this suggestion come to your eyes and expecting a diwali bonus for the middle class people who has already suffered by increaing inflation problems

Respected Thalapathy Sir, Thanks for the rain, now the duration of the power cut is reduced. I may suggest to save electricity the following 1 all shops and business establishments be closed by 8 PM 2 all business sign boards lights should be minimised and switched off after 8 PM 3 all political meetings be organised during day time and if at all necessary they should be woundup by 9 PM 4 all government functions be organised during day time only 5 a young and energetic person may be appointed as Electricity Minister replacing the Hon'ble present Electricity Minister 6 all street lights be switched off by 5 am in the morning as the time passes natural lights dawns and the electricity saved between 5 am to 6 am or whenever the lights are switched off will be of great help Thanks for permitting me to put up my suggestion. 2

Sir, recently I heard about this through tamil weekly and just want to see how it looks. I feel it’s really a good initiate to reach general public. This will reduce gap between public, politician and officials. My suggestion is regarding famous issue in Tamil Nadu, i.e. Electricity. 1. To disconnect all electrical supply for advertisement boards in state, 2. To reduce current supply to commercial purpose such as show rooms, bakery, etc who eat more current through more lamps to their show rooms, 3. To stop stealing current for political and other parties in state and heavy punishment including action through Gundas Act towards any violation, 4. Ration system for Electricity (not slab rate - fixing clear cut maximum unit per home) for basic living, 5. Analysis and implementation of Natural Electricity (Sun Power?!) usage to all government buildings, apartments, institutions, etc. May be I am wrong, but I am very glad that I have some opportunity to share my views with you. The conductor collected a minimum fare of Rs 3/- instead of Rs 2/- I wrote to you Sir, regarding this matter earlier and nothing changed even after this being brought to your kind notice. Nagercoil they collect minimum of Rs 2.50 and in Kovilpatti it is Rs 3/- The mini bus people are looting the innocent common people which brings a very bad name to the Government. Respected Sir, After assuming the present DMK govt, the transporation facilities are improved so much even disel prices repeatedly increased several times. Several states increased the bus fare due to revision of disel price but tn govt is continously keeping the bus fare to help the middle class and poor people. This is a appreciable one. Even other southern states increased the bus fare our tn govt only keeping the same fare for the last several years. Sir, i agree the SETC/TNSTC are running good buses and inducted new buses also. Their service is good. But only SETC is not inducted new buses or good buses for ordinary express bus and video coach bush seats. These buses are operating for long journey but people are not happy because of old buses and no new buses are inducted. Almost all are not good. For example , 527 V between tuticorin and nagapattinam and other ordinary buses. These buses are also plying to other states. Hence, I request you to please demand to provide only good buses and also induct to change very old buses running at present. People will be happy if these old buses removed and inducted new buses[two seat buses operated by SETC]. Tku Yours faithfully, Nagai S. Mohan

Dear Shri Stalin Greetings It is not only Tamil Nadu but the entire world is in an energy crisis. Hence it is high time we start concentrating on alternate sources of energy. There is plenty of potential in tapping algae as a source of energy. Algae are photosynthetic primitive plants which are capable of taking carbon di oxide and converting them to energy. By employing both micro & macro algae we can produce bio-diesel bio-methane hydrogen etc. Other countries have started concentrating on this field. Our government should have a look at this field seriously. I will be glad to have a personal discussion in this regard with you.
