Dear Sir, I belong to Tirunagar of Madurai. In our area, nearly 90% of the bus are stated as "Thaal Thala Sogusu Perundhu" and nearly 8% of the bus are "CITY EXPRESS". A very few buses are ordinary buses. Poor people find it difficult to spend a lot for traveling here since most of the buses are Thaal thala sogusu perundhu. Also in some peak times, ordinary buses are also operated as city expresses by pasting a sticker. A comparative bus rate is furnished here. Ordinary Bus: 3Rs. City Express: 5Rs. Thaal Thala Sogusu Perundhu: 7Rs. Considering the convenience of the poor and middle class people, i hereby appeal you to take action to increase the number of ordinary buses to a huge extent. I'm sure that we'll see the change. You'll surely make convenience for us. Thank you sir.

Government

First of all I appreciate the Govt. for their care on the old aged people(senior citizens). Now the pension system is running very good. But there are many brides(kaiyoottu) playing in this system. Even in our street there are many people who are living a serene and luxurious life get this pension through the post man by giving him about Rs 2000/- and more money. Even though the Govt. has ordered the VAOs ,Collectors and more and more Officers to check in the pension system. But there is no checking process in our area came to my knowledge. When ever the higher Officials say about the checking to the postmen and at once the postmen have visited his concern surroundings and told the pensioners to tell that there is no problem in issuing the money. But this is also fake. The money send by the Govt. are not issuing properly. Near my home there are many people who are really old and differently abled are not getting the money properly, many of them are living in the pension money itself. I know the risks ahead you in solving the problem of state's men and women. And I know the expenses involved. I say shortly that the Govt. money should not be used in wrong way. Now the postman said that due to the announcement of the Govt. there is a reducing issue running in the state across that is in every ward there are nearly 50 people's names have to be cut in the pensioners list who are getting it for very long time. My grandma aged 94 named Saraswathi has been getting the money for ateast since the scheme had announced by the Govt.(HER FIRST PENSION AMOUNT IS Rs 35/-) She is earning somehow by working small works which she can do. Thus the pension is her life,so if her name included in this reducing activity she would become helpless one. So you take immediate action against the fake pensioners. I concluded by saying I am a twelfth finished boy and my close relatives who are very rich also getting the pension. AIYYA PLEASE TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION ON THIS ISSUE ACROSS THE STATE, IF IT IS DONE, THERE ARE MORE AND MORE MONEY WILL BE SAVED. NANDRI, Ivann, SuryaPrakash.s.a

Dear Dr MKS, I would like to bring one of serious public issue for your kind notice. In TN, we have around 100 motels (road hotels), to my knowledge. All motels are doing huge business. But the quality of food and other eatables are not at all good. Water, biscuits, chips, tender coconuts and others eatables are sold at a higher price (around 50% higher than the MRP). They sell poor quality and duplicate products but they charge higher prices. We have MRP control but its surprising to see that how this practice is being allowed in our state. Many people including children, aged persons, patients are travelling throught the state and forced to take this worst food for higher charges. They have many advantages compared to the business houses in the cities like low cost of land, less competion etc hence, they can sell the products (food items) at lesser price than the MRP. Moreover, they get huge unaccounted profits for which they do not pay any tax to the goverment authorities. Kindly take proper action to regulate the motel business in our state and make appropriate legislation to control the prices in Motel. Thanks in advance.

i am appalled by the state of upkeep /hygiene in Tirunamiyur railway station. i am surprised by the callous attitude of the responsible rly. officials. this is no way to claim " SINGARA CHENNAI !!!! I am sure that a private advertiser would maintain the place & some revenue can also be earned. A visit by some Minister would help in improving the state of affairs.

Respected Sir, It is reported the main line of southern railway route between Thanjavur and Chennai Egmore via Myladuthurai Jn, Villupuram Jn is likely to be opened on or before 20.04.2010. The cauvery delta dists are suffered lot for the past 3 years and 4 months without train via main line. Almost all are entirely dependent by road journey since gauge conversion work between Myladuthurai Jn and Villupuram Jn 122 kms. Sir, I am expecting hon ble CM and hon ble Dy CM may attend the inaugural function . I furnish the following difficulties faced by cauvery delta dists for take up the same with railway ministries, railway officials:- 1. The day time Jansathapathi Superfast Express train between Coimbatore and Myladuthurai Jn is arriving at 11.40 hours at Thanjavur Jn but not even a single connection train is available for Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam till evening 6.00 p.m. Hence, please take up the issue with railway ministry and southern railway officials for introduction of connection train between Thanjavur and Nagore via Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam atleast 12.15 hours. This will help people of Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam to attend tamil mozhi conference to be held at Coimbatore during june, 2010 and return to their place. This is long felt demand of Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam people. 2. At present no overnight train to Coimbatore from Tiruvarur, Thanjavur and Nagapattinam dists. The present Nagore – Ernkaulam – Nagore express reaching odd hours to Erode, Tirupur and Coimbatore dists. This train is useful for Kerala only. Hence need one overnight express train reaching early morning at Coimbatore is very much required. The people of these dists are employed large scale at Erode, Tirupur and Coimbatore dists. Similarly, people of Coimbatore, Tirupur and Erode are visiting to temples in cauvery delta dists. Hence overnight express is required between Velankanni to Cioimbatore. 3. Similarly no overnight train to Tirunelveli, Nagercoil [southern dists]. If aovernight express introduced between Velankanni to Nagercoil people will welcome. People of Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli and Tuticorin are visiting large scale to various tourists places of cauvery delta dists. At present all are entirely reaching by road only in the absence of train services. These are the major demands of cauvery delta dists. Kindly do the needful, please. Thanking you, Yours faithfully, S. Mohan Nagai/Tuticorin/Coimbatore

FROM, DATE: M/S. TEACHER’S COLONY WELFARE ASSOCIATION, (REGISTRATION NO: 186/2007) KODUNGAIYUR, CHENNAI - 600118. TO, DISTRICT ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER, TAMILNADU POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD, POST BOX NO: 779, NO: 552/1, 1ST FLOOR, OPPOSITE TO MURUGAN STORES, POONAMALLEE HIGH ROAD, ARUMBAKKAM, CHENNAI - 600106. Sir, We humbly submit the following few lines, for your kind and humanitarian action please. We nearly 500 families are residing in the teacher’s colony area of kodungaiyur. This is purely a residential area, and in New No: 22 Teachers colony main road, moolakadai, Chennai-600118. a false board is displayed infront of that house, saying RAZACK DREAM FOUNDATION. But it is a surprise to note that the activity is entirely different. That is when plastics mixed with some chemicals and ignited some bad odour will come out. Such a sort of bad smell is coming in day as well as in the night. This causes eye irritation, suffocation, breathing problem, and vomiting. Especially children are suffering a lot. This will reduce our life-spam and reduce our health. We already rodged a complaint to the JE, Corporation of Chennai/ kodungaiyur area and also with the Police – station in our area and FIR-filed. But no action is initiated from corporation and also Police-department. So we kindly request your goodself to look into the matter seriously and arrange for closure of that activity, at the earliest time, as we are all suffering too much. Thanking you, Yours Faithfully, TEACHERS COLONY WELFARE ASSOCIATION MEMBERS

Online Ticket Reservation system should be brought back into the system for SETC BUS service. This will increase the passenger to travel much by our state transport, including me. I was really feeling bad to travel by other state transport, since i had booked the ticket online and when i reached the Bangalore bus stand i could see the SETC bus was half empty seats. Please consider this suggestion as a personal request. Thanks. Regards, Ramachandran

Dear Sir, I am from Ullikkottai village of Mannargudi Taluk. Presently I am working in Dubai. I appreciate the efforts your government is taking to save our Tamil language. Presently students studying in Tamil medium have reduced a lot. Also parents don’t want to send their children to Tamil medium school/College. The root cause for the problem is employment opportunities. If you see the statistics, tamil medium students have very less job opportunities in Government sector. To over come this I suggest that you can announce 60%( Please check with experts and decide the exact percentage) priority in Tamil Nadu Government jobs for those who are studying in Tamil medium. I hope you will look into this matter and expecting an announcement during the up coming World Tamil Conference in Coimbatore. Regards, R.Raja M.E Assistant Resident Engineer, MWH(UK) Ltd. Dubai. Why don't atleast you can save all the water bodies. like all the tank, lake, river bodies(in thamizh kulam, kuttai, eari, ootai) 2. why should we build a school, or bus terminus or markets? as you celebrate last weak as function to save all the water resources. I strongly believe that you can handle this very beautifully with your master touch. the upcoming generation will be thankful to you if it could happen by you. looking forward for your view and reply

Respected Sir, Bangalore is leading in IT just because it has taken the initiative first. Now central government has allowed foreign varsities to setup their institutes here. Before any other state takes steps to attract them, let our state take the initiative first and build a "science city" with necessary amenities and infrastructure on the outskirts of Chennai to attract these institutes which will improve Chennai's image as an "Educational Hub" in the Asia pacific region and the standard of human resource available in this region. This will also trigger a competition among them and our institutes resulting in improvement of coaching and technique adopted by our institutes. I request you to kindly consider my suggestion. Thanking You.
