No to Greenfield Airport for Chennai announced by center and published in Dinamalar has really annoyed people, what are our ministers in Center doing without giving a push to the project. When Mumbai can get an aiport within 35 Kms and why not Chennai in 30 Kms. Can TN govt invite tenders on its own and build a airport. A fantastic airport is always necessary for a metro city and its growth. When Delhi can have a railway station for 9000 crores why that Chennai cannot have a new airport at half of its cost...ridiculous. Please do something on it sir. B) Min 4 speed breakers should be put up, since the traffic is very heavy in this road., which is used by two wheelers/cars/autos/school / collage buses. C) Our road should be made one way, a petition in this regard has been given to the local DMK councilor, but no action has been taken.D) East Vannier st has become a local small time Fish Market, this is creating traffic problems.E) Garbage is being dumped in our next compound which is already totally unhygenic. This has already effected an elderly couple with Malaria and Dengue fever.Corporation workers are seen very rarely / and even if they come they do not clear this place. Sir, The MTC buses were diverted through race course recently to avoid traffic jam. It is a great idea. Now the buses stopping at Guindy railway station helps more commuters to access the bus quickly. But the road is narrow and in the race course stop the buses stand in a long queue as it is a two way. There is a large space inside Madras Race course parking area. In this area we can build a very big bus stand and can expand the road. Kindly do the needful. Thanks.

I thank the government for doing all the good effort in making travelling a pleasure by making four track roads. In some areas service roads are provided which is of no use as roads. Such roads are used as business roads. All buses which are supposed to enter service roads to pick-up and drop passengers don't do that instead use the four track road. Due to this traffic get blocked in four track roads. Lorry and other vehicles stop at four track road to purchase in shops. This too makes traffic a mess. Most of all these type of unwarranted parking makes vehicles to crash from behind. This is a sad truth. In Chennai, passengers are to be educated to stand in bus shelters rather than on road. Buses too have to be educated to stop as leftside as possible. These are some simple disciplines which can make Tamilnadu a state with atmost comfort to live. Dear Sir, This is Thomman emailing you from Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. You must be aware of the heavy rainfall Coonoor had witnessed in the recent past. Coonoor has been declared as disaster hit and rehabilitation works are being undertaken on a war footing. Coonoor was cut off from the rest of the world with all its access roads cut off and slowly restoration works are being taken care off. The reason for my email presently is to bring to your notice the dilemma the common man is facing during these flood hit times. The Coonoor- Mettuapalayam road which is a National Highway has been blocked for traffic for safety reasons and for work to progress. It must be noted that for all other access roads, there are alternative roads to reach the town. However for people staying along the Highway, there is no alternative road to reach Coonoor town. The schools have reopened too. Children need to walk over 6kms to reach school, if they wish to attend school. No arrangement has been made for the local people to reach town as all these people are dependent on Coonoor town for basic provisions, medicines, etc. My father is a heart patient and I have got a 3 month old baby. Frankly I do not know what I should do in case of an emergency. I had met the RDO this morning and highlighted the problem. He agrees that there is hardship that is being faced, but he says that he is not authorized to issue a pass for us to go to town and come back. The police also do not want to issue a pass as they also say that the roads do not fall under their authority. The National Highway authorities are based at Coimbatore which is about 70kms from here. Only Govt Vehicles are allowed to ply. I fully understand that if traffic is opened to the public, it would hamper restoration works. However, shouldn’t the people who reside in these areas be provided with some sort of an arrangement so that they may buy their families food, medicines and provisions. It has been quite a long letter today and I know I am venting out my frustration. I hope if there is any way in your means to help us out in this dilemma. The issue is in our area the drainage is spreaded all on the road and near the home also. We informed to the corp office and they didnt take any action on that. They will say that we will clear that but no action has taken. Then we give complient to our Area consuller Mr.Prabhu. Then also no response from them. Here many chidrens and pregancy ladies are living in this area they surroundings can infect them easily. How long can they stay in others places..We cant to walk on the road. It creates a very bad smell which will affect the respiratory system. Rings and itches are forming. In our area many childs are affected by diahrea, fevers,etc. Here we people cant able to live here. The number of share autos and college buses plying has increased tremendously. It is observed that the autos (including share autos) are getting parked very close to the bus stops causing a chaos at almost all places. My suggestion would be, why not create auto stops like bus stops. Similarly the pick up buses of various colleges and even private organisations are haphazardly parking them for picking up their ppl. Something seriously needs to be done to tackle this. For your perusal and doing the needful please.

My father is having small shop in under the Kodambakkam bridge now we are threaten to evacuate the place. Sir what i am studied and my whole family depends on the income of my father, he is depend on that shop. Yesterday night he cried because of this shop issue, first time i saw my father cried. Very recently i joined in a company it may take time for me to stand on my own and maintain my family. Please sir ask the officials to leave the middleclass like us. Respected and Honourable Sir, I am only one Son to my parents. My father is an Ex-Service men retired from Indian Army. He served our nation for 33 years and participated in 3 Major Operations. Now he is suffering from heart and knee ailment. As I am 34, Married and my salary is very less to take care of my family members and my father ailment. I came to know that there is a rule made by State Government that to give a permanent Govt Job to son / daughter of an ex-servicemen. I had already applied and submitted the required documents and certificates to Employment Excange office at Santhome. So its my very humble request to do the needful at the earliest regarding it.
