From a neutral perspective, after various observations, I would like to give you a very precise and reliable feedback about the 2 and half years of the DMK govt. and the politics around. I hope that this will be very helpful to you in view of the Parliamentary elections 2009.Let's analyse them. Year 2006: Plus Points : -> Implementation of Rice at Rs.2 per kg (big highlight) and all the promises in the DMK election manifesto (inc. Color TVs, free land to poor, cancellation of loans to farmers) -> Negotiations for setting up IT and industrial parks -> Distribution of free LPGs and 2 eggs, weekly, in govt. schools lunch scheme -> Very effective implementation of the cancellation of the entrance exams without any confusion(previous ADMK govt. had confused the students terribly) ('cancellation of entrance exams is good or bad' is a different issue. i, personally, would say entrance exams should be conducted. But the way how govt. implemented it was highly appreciable) Minus points: -> Local bodies election violence and the role played by rowdies in the atrocities (situation got quite uncontrolled) -> charges of corruption raising from a few corners (though not very serious or major) Credit 2006: 8/10 Year 2007: Plus points: -> Immediate employment provided to the youngsters and degree holders with proper distribution of monthly assistance to the unemployed youth -> Provision of high-speed escort cars for the police personnel and establishment of police complex -> Good encouragement for the women self-employment and self-aiding (magalir suya udhavi kuzhu) groups. Minus Points: -> Dinakaran office burning. Police unable to control the situation. Law and order went uncontrolled. Buses burnt. -> Involvement of DMK party cadres in the incident (inc. Mayor) and consequent rift with Sun TV and Maran brothers. -> Reports of bribery to election voters during Madurai West and Central bi-elections. Credit 2007: 6/10 Year 2008 Positive Points: -> From Anna's birthday, rice at Rs. 1 per kg. -> Allotment of 10 essential items in ration shops for Rs. 50 -> Effective steps taken for the Sri Lankan tamil issue. Good reciprocation and response from the people through donation of around 25 crores and good number of participants in human chain (manitha sangili) -> Introduction of 'smart cards' to vehicle owners. -> Good action taken for controlling floods yesterday and day-before-yesterday, very recently -> Support and encouragement from Government for the families of dead people whose organs were donated to others (Eg. Hitendran and family - govt. encouraged) Minus Points: -> Electricity Power Cut (Biggest negative point) -> Rise in prices of essential commodities (though this is central govt's policy, since the DMK government is supporting the UPA, blame comes on to DMK also) -> Non-availability of petrol and diesel and shortage of LPG -> Law college violence and police, in spite of being present at the location, did not take any step and remained silent spectators when one student was ghastily beaten to death. Encouragement indirectly to communal riots (Another very big minus point as the heart-braking violence was exposed in TV channels) -> Dangerous and open support to the banned LTTE by many political parties and organisations. (Yesterday also, certain people cut cakes and burst crackers for celebrating LTTE chief's birthday. Very dangerous symptoms for law and order deterioration.) Speech at Rameshwaram by cine artistes clearly showed distress and deterioration to 'unity in diversity' in India. -> Recent growth in city crime rates and murders. (Psycho man killing and burning alive night watchmen) -> Increased charges of corruption. Too many cases coming under the Vigilance Commission regarding charges of corruption, increasingly from govt. officers in Tamil Nadu. (may not have a great effect on the general public, but still to be taken quite seriously) -> Union Ministry of Information Technology and Communications, under Thiru A. Rasa, subjected to heavy criticisms of corruption of around 60000 crores. This scam will have an effect since the minister is from DMK Credit 2008: 4/10 General point of appreciation : NO terrorist attacks(such as bomb blasts) or religious riots (like Kandhammal) anywhere in Tamil Nadu. Some terrorists behind Coimbatore bomb blasts also caught. They planned for bombing Tamil Nadu but, were arrested effectively by the police. Good work by Tamil Nadu border policemen and security forces Overall Feedback : This is a very neutral feedback sir. Though the DMK government has had its appreciating points and positive aspects, the current situation shows a deteriorating trend for the Government. People, at this point of time, are quite upset with some important things such as Power Cut, Law and Order etc. At this point of time, we suggest you the following to be performed so that DMK Govt. stays strong to face the next elections. SUGGESTIONS: -> Open a public discussion forum thro' the government. Involve certain skilled and brilliant people from the general public to formulate policies -> Have an open discussion with the general public regarding the power cut and law and order issues. The Government should clearly inform the steps taken to solve important crisis so that the public are aware of them. You wrote in your answers for the questions in the month of October for the power cut problem. But, all the general public might not have seen that. -> In India, the general problem is public and government have huge distance. What public expects, the Government does not know. What Govt. wants to implement, the public does not know. So, if deserving people, who really have good ideas, are chosen and invited from various places to interact with the Government and the ministers, it will really be a good sign. Lively telecast the interaction between the general public and the government. Give some issues to the public for open discussion, so that they can also be policy makers. DMK will get the first honour of providing a government that has people as the policy makers. -> And the government will surely know that there are minus points. Even the DMK govt. itself has its own negative points. Express frankly such negative points to the public. Let the public know that you are frank and the govt. is speaking the truth, without any decisiveness. It will really increase the image of the DMK government. Even I too have a lot of points to discuss regarding improving the IT skilled set and enhancing global IT investments in Tamil Nadu. I also have some ideas to facilitate this public interaction forum. Definitely, if you discuss the issues with us and with public who are learned, intelligent, skilled and also aware of the crisis, you can really involve intelligent people to frame excellent policies. CONCLUSION: At this point, in view of the next parliamentary elections, it may not be that easy as how it was during the 2004 parliamentary elections, Things are quite tough for the DMK now. At this time, for DMK to clearly win in the parliamentary elections, the govt, should induce faith in people. The faith in people has gone down a bit. So, with public interaction forums and live interactions with public (must be relayed and live telecasted in televisions like Sun TV, Kalaignar TV and also Podhigai), people have a chance of getting more faith with the Government. And if they get faith, really elections can turn out favourable. Congress may not be favourable for a win now, but at least, we can ensure good number of seats supporting the UPA govt. from Tamil Nadu. Thank you, Mr. M.K.Stalin. sir, let me start with the brief remembrance. we were in madras it is not unusaual that living in slow motion life, nothing done as planned, in fact there is no iato of planning at all. i belived that when you become a mayor of chennai,finally the time has come to face lift, your were equvalent to 3 MP's and 17 MLA's, i really guessed that you'll show your dynamism of youth and sprit of leadership, despite the requests from various quarters you for filthy political reasons, ignored 2 million peoples mandate of mayorship. and you too become a full fledged politician. past is past. now you are "the minister". your are acting swiftly in certain matters, of course not all matters. in rural and urban development programmes are really good. building bridges is excellan that too within time frame is unbeliveable. but all of them concentrated on south and central chennai. not even single major work has started in north chennai. even a sea erosion, water stagnation. drinking water, sewarage, etc. in recent the metro rail, it is planned to all the nook and corner of chennai except the north chennai. it totally disappoints person like me. it starts where the north chennai ends. are we not eligible for those luxuries. are we condemed for being sick brothers of chennai. if litrally count the major development plan after 1995 you'll find nothing but the congestion, poverty etc. however your term has not been completed, and it is not unusual to wait for some time.

Law college situation, Utharapuram issue, Temple entry near Salem, politicans are behaving like the good old Kings, damaging public properties, getting away after damaging, still people live in the streets, getting killed by the rich and powerful people,Government concentrating to major extent around the cinema industry, cine people getting into politics, unnecessary free bees, not bold enough to get voted by telling goog deeds so many. This makes me to think is it a safe place to live ? are my kids going to be safe here ? When the governments are going to change its attitude ? Dear Sir, I have been watching Kalaingar's heart-fealt feelings on Arunthathiars' uplifit from lifting human excreta and shaken by his poem on this issue.But whichever web-site I visit on Sri Lankan related matter the derogatory anti-Tamil comments e-mailed to those web-sites by unscrupulous fanatic Sinhalese depicting the whole Tamile race as TOILET CLEANERS of SRI LANKA. Sri Lankan issue is not to be taken in lighter veins but to be dealt in with IRON HANDED approach.It is high time Kalaingar has to take some drastic step to prevent anything untoward.

Sir are you satified with present scenario in a normal man life. 1.If a man have any work with government side he has ready to pay bribe. 2. If a father want to give a good education with the govt side to his childrens it is not possible in govt schools. 3. Now a days we will see very casual all the travelling people must have a bottle of drinking water, why? 4.
